Copyright and Licensing

IJMIE applies a transparent, author-friendly copyright policy consistent with open-access best practice and the requirements of DOAJ.

Authors Retain Copyright

Authors retain the copyright to their work and grant the journal the right of first publication. There is no transfer of copyright to the publisher.

Licence to Readers

All articles are published under a Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International (CC BY 4.0) licence. Under this licence, any user may:

  • Share — copy and redistribute the material in any medium or format;
  • Adapt — remix, transform, and build upon the material for any purpose, including commercially;

provided that appropriate credit is given to the original authors and source, a link to the licence is provided, and any changes are indicated.

Rights of Authors

Under CC BY 4.0, authors are free to:

  • reuse their own work in future publications, teaching, and theses;
  • deposit all versions in repositories without embargo (see Open Access Policy);
  • share the published article widely, with attribution.

Third-Party Material

Where a manuscript includes material owned by a third party (e.g. figures, tables, or extended quotations), authors are responsible for obtaining written permission to reproduce it under the CC BY licence and for providing appropriate attribution.

Author Warranties

On submission, authors warrant that the work is original, that they have the right to publish it, that it does not infringe any third-party rights, and that all co-authors have approved its submission and publication.

Each published article carries the statement: “© The Author(s). This is an open-access article distributed under the terms of the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC BY 4.0).”
