Call for Papers
The International Journal of Materials Innovation and Engineering (IJMIE) invites submissions for its first volume (2026). We welcome original research, critical reviews and short communications from researchers in universities, research institutes and industry worldwide.
Submissions are open throughout the year. Manuscripts are handled as soon as they arrive, and accepted articles are published in the next available quarterly issue.

Topics of Interest
Submissions are welcome across the full scope of the journal, including:
- metals and alloys, including lightweight and high-entropy alloys, metallurgy and phase transformations;
- advanced, functional and structural ceramics and glasses;
- engineering polymers, fiber-reinforced and hybrid composites;
- nanomaterials, graphene and other 2D materials, and nanocomposites;
- materials for batteries, fuel cells, supercapacitors, photovoltaics, hydrogen storage and thermoelectrics;
- biomaterials for implants, scaffolds, drug delivery and regenerative medicine;
- electronic, magnetic, optical and photonic materials;
- additive manufacturing, joining, forming, surface engineering and coatings;
- computational modelling, simulation, machine learning and materials informatics;
- recycling, green synthesis and life-cycle assessment of materials;
- advanced characterization, mechanical behaviour, failure analysis, corrosion and durability.

- Prepare your manuscript following the Author Guidelines, including the anonymized manuscript and a separate title page.
- Create an account — register or log in to the journal's submission system.
- Submit — start a new submission and choose the article type that fits your work.
Review Articles and Special Issues
Researchers who would like to write a review article or guest-edit a special issue are invited to send a short proposal — a title, an outline and, for special issues, a list of potential contributors — to the editorial office through the Contact page. Special issues follow the same peer review and ethics policies as all other content.
